Using a shared database server to store all the data provides one single view across your entire organization of your business processes, the critical metrics associated with improving performance of those processes and the impacts that are going to close the gaps identified as critical to strategy-execution for those processes.

Full "drill-through to detail" allows you to quickly and simply identify the underlying improvement projects that are impacting or forecast to impact the gaps identified, the project owners, improvement resources available and any cross impact associated with each process.

Current metric values with associated gaps and trends are displayed graphically for real-time visibility into performance, with management reporting providing both big-picture and detail reports for monthly management review of progress towards set goals.

Real time information is critical to ensure that managers and process owners can immediately see any potential issues with their processes and also any other processes that they have a dependency on.  Decisions made on real-time information will be better, more focused on the issues at hand, ultimately leading to better execution.

 The Golden Thread automatically updates Performance Meter data as and when data changes on the server.  This ensures that if performance metric data is updated for a meter that you have included in your Performance Map, you will immediately see the update, without having to refresh the screen.

Alerts can be configured to automatically notify you via email of any changes to a performance metric that impacts a Performance Meter that you  subscribe to.  This ensures that when you are offline, or travelling, you will can get access to critical events as soon as you check your email.

Business Performance Manager provides a scorecard view of each metric within a performance meter, including Metric Name, Units of measurement, Current, Forecast, Trend and Gap.  this provides immediate insight into the "hot-spots" that you should be focusing on in order to close performance gaps associated with Voice of the Customer and Voice of the Business.

Each performance meter shows the current performance of each metric associated with the performance meter.  In one easy to read graphical display, one can easily determine the performance of each metric and the associated trend of that metric.

An alternate view provides instant overview of the baseline and target data for a metric, with the impacts that are expected from the various improvement projects that are underway.

Improvement impact reporting ensures that accountability, visibility and communication.

Monthly management meeting can be completed accurately and quickly using the built in management reporting.  Pre-defined views of the performance maps and performance meters will give an instant view into the gaps that exist, the efforts underway to close those gaps and the overall net result on the gap.  This information enables the manager to focus on the gaps that will not be closed and ensure that additional resources can be focused in the correct places.

Visual impact threads or Golden Threads provide a real time view into the impacts that improvement efforts are having on the identified gaps.  Closing these gaps without any detrimental impact on secondary metrics is critical.  Impact diagrams provide an easy to use visual tool to review in real time the changes to process metrics.
